“Over these past weeks, the community and I have had the opportunity to observe and evaluate the perspectives and agendas of the various candidates in the upcoming elections. Your honest, pragmatic, and hopeful insight into our community’s problems and needs, and your willingness to examine the issues and listen closely to the public’s questions and concerns, sets you far apart from the other candidates. From past experience other candidates have made promises that they have not delivered on and so I am writing today to express my support for your campaign and my intention both to vote for you in the upcoming elections and to spread word to others of the value of your policies and abilities. With our Creators help I am hoping for your success.”

“The Elders across Canada are speaking of the importance of women reclaiming the matriarch role as leaders. Cheryl Dodman embodies this role with kindness, honesty, caring, sharing and the gentle strength of a warrior. With passion, energy and enthusiasm, she has earned respect and gained wisdom and experience from her life’s work to enrich Métis families, communities and our Nation. As Indigenous women, we are powerful–it’s in Cheryl’s and our bloodline. She is strong, resilient and will lift us all up together so we can hold each other up. I believe she is a strong leader like many of our matriarchal ancestors have been throughout history. Cheryl is a leader who has shown how women were once seen as the conduit for healthy and strong systems and will continue to do so.”

“Tansi, my name is Arlette Alcock, and I recommend Cheryl Dodman for MNBC Region 3 Director. Cheryl is fair and highly qualified. Cheryl cares about Métis people, and she always finishes what she sets out to do. Cheryl has my support! Marsi, Arlette.”

“As a Metis of British Columbia citizen, I am pleased to endorse Cheryl Dodman, a well known, highly motivated, ethical and determined citizen and leader. She has been the Director of Kelowna Metis Association since 2007, VP of the association 2009-2020 and current president. Her efforts thus far have been exemplary in every way. In addition Ms Dodman is involved in the day to day workings of the association including but not limited to bi-weekly Elders Gathering at Mamawapowin Early Childcare Centre, working with Peetigway Families, as a support assistant for a Metis Child Trauma Therapy program. Last but not least, Cheryl Dodman continues to be the Regional Women’s Representative for Region 3, MNBC since 2017.
Although Cheryl Dodman has a lot on her plate she still has room for more. It is her unending commitment to the Metis people by running for Region 3 Director of MNBC where she will be more effective for long term, positive change and development of our Metis Families.
I am convinced voting for Ms Dodman as Region 3 Director will be a step in the right direction.”
